Course Structure & Objectives

This course is comprised of four fully online self-paced modules, and learning activities in each module include assigned readings, short online videos, knowledge check questions, and case study reviews. The course is designed to be completed in 40 contact hours, and the learning objectives are as follows:

Explain the foundational concepts associated with Geriatric Care Management.
Illustrate the process of conducting a geriatric assessment and brief intervention techniques.
Compare and contrast elements of the psychosocial, functional and environmental assessment.
Demonstrate the process to create a care plan that supports the holistic quality of life for a geriatric client.

Course participants have the option to attend monthly live online chat sessions hosted by the course instructor on rotating course topics.

Working in an Elder Law or Life Care Planning Firm

Kenneth R.
